NFL Cornerback Charles Tillman once again brought his charity Pro BOWLer Tournament to Kings.

On Thursday, July 14, 2016, Kings Bowl in Lincoln Park was proud to once again partner with NFL cornerback Charles Tillman to host the fourth Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament. Tillman, along with his closest friends, teammates and colleagues - including Robert Griffin III - gathered together for an evening of great bowling, delicious food and festivities to raise money for the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.

With tickets starting at $100, proceeds were given to Cornerstone Foundation, an charitable organization committed to helping provide opportunities and resources to critically and chronically ill underprivileged children and their families. Lane sponsorships for the Charles Tillman Pro BOWLer Tournament cost $5,000 and include teams of six people, plus one celebrity guest. Guests at every level were treated to Kings signature accommodations, including award-winning food and drinks as well as hours of fun games.

"Kings has been our partner in this event since its inception five years ago and we are excited to bring the tournament to their new Lincoln Park location," said Tillman. "The Cornerstone Foundation strives to make a positive impact on our community and this event brings people together to benefit some very special kids."

Past celebrity guests have included Matt Forte, Major Wright, Patrick Mannelly, Jermon Bushrod and Johnny Knox, among others. First held in 2012 at Kings' Rosemont location, the Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament has attracted hundreds and raised more than $430,000 in support of the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.

"Kings Bowl is grateful for the opportunity to welcome Charles, his teammates and friends to our Lincoln Park location," said Patrick Lyons, founder of Kings Bowl. "Charles is not only a role model on the football field, but also has a strong commitment to serving young people and we look forward to being a part of that."

This event was made all the more special by the generous coverage from numerous media outlets, as well as Tillman's own recent announcement of his retirement from the NFL, making this his last Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament as an active player. Tillman is finishing his career with eight pick-6's  - tied for the seventh-highest total interception returns in NFL history. Tillman announced his retirement via a humorous YouTube video where he spoofs his signature "Peanut Punch," which you can see here:

How will Tillman spend his retirement? Maybe working on his bowling game!

"Kings is proud to partner with Charles Tillman and raise money for those in need."

"I'm pretty terrible at bowling. I'm not a good bowler," Tillman told Make It Better. "I can get you triple digits, you know, maybe 120 if I'm having a good day, but yeah my football ability and athleticism — tackling, interception and things like that — they don't transfer over to bowling at all."

Don't worry, Charles, we don't consider that a strike against you! Kings is proud to have partnered with Tillman and raised money for those in need over the past five years. The event garnered significant attention and press coverage, including write-ups in multiple press outlets.
