a man that is standing in the grass

As part of our mission and commitment to serving the national community in times of need, KINGS has already mounted several successful Hurricane Relief initiatives designed to help those impacted and displaced by the recent storms. Now, we’re teaming up with some of the biggest names in professional sports to host a star-studded, red carpet evening, with proceeds going to hurricane relief efforts through the works of UNICEF.

On Wednesday September 27th, beginning at 6:30 p.m., KINGS Dining & Entertainment Doral will be hosting a Hurricane relief fundraising event with former Boston Red Sox all-star, David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz, and his wife Tiffany Ortiz together with Miami HEAT champion, Ray Allen, and his wife Shannon Allen. In addition to to Big Papi and Allen, the event will feature Miami’s hottest DJs, silent and live auctions, bowling, games, food and more.

Hitting Close to Home

The recent hurricanes hit close to home not just for the guests and staff of KINGS Doral - located only a few miles from Miami - but also for the hosts Shannon and Ray Allen who live in Miami and own and operate small businesses in some of the most impacted areas. The Allens, who own and operate grown, Miami’s first 100% USDA organic certified fast-food concept, are focused on supporting efforts to help rebuild the affected communities after recognizing first-hand the irreparable damage to so many families and businesses caused by these storms. Many of their employees, friends and family have been affected by Irma, compelling them to take action to aid the community.

Tiffany and David Ortiz have also felt the emotional impact of these devastating storms: Recent Miami transplants, Ortiz hails from the Dominican Republic, another area ravaged by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, while Tiffany is a dedicated board member of the New England chapter of UNICEF. The two families have vowed to team up and rally the Miami sports and entertainment scene to help raise money that will go directly to the relief efforts for these communities.

As part of the fundraiser, KINGS Doral will be converted into a hub of charitable works, spiked with spectacular excitement and entertainment. The 20,000-square-foot dining, cocktail and entertainment venue will also offer our traditional bowling, games, and gourmet food from our award winning, executive-chef driven scratch kitchen, along with silent and live auctions and more for the VIP guests in attendance. The upscale Rum Room, 14 ten-pin bowling lanes, private bowling suites, a full-service lounge and private dining spaces will all be packed with guests, celebrities and local and national media representatives - united under a great cause.

Admission for this 21+ only event will be based on a starting donation of $134 per person. Event tickets, sponsorships and donation opportunities are available by visiting www.theprosbowl.eventbrite.com. Sponsors for the event include The David Ortiz Children’s Fund, The Ray of Hope Foundation, and grown.
